        AN ACT to amend chapter 698 of the laws of 1996 amending  the  education
          law  relating  to  transportation contracts, in relation to making the
          provisions of such chapter permanent
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
  1      Section  1.  Section 4 of chapter 698 of the laws of 1996 amending the
  2    education law relating to transportation contracts, as amended by  chap-
  3    ter 165 of the laws of 2007, is amended to read as follows:
  4      §  4. This act shall take effect immediately[, and shall expire and be
  5    deemed repealed on and after June 30, 2012].
  6      § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
