Contract Models
When most school district officials think about contracting their student transportation services, they envision the full-service business model where the school bus company provides the entire student transportation operation. While this is still an extremely effective way to administer a school district’s student transportation services, the industry has evolved over the years and now provides a host of different transportation models to accommodate a school district’s particular need.
The following guide will provide you with an over view of the different contract models available to school districts. In addition, the guide includes a checklist that will allow school boards and administrators to determine which contracting model will best address their student transportation requirements.
