NYSBCA Sponsors Nassau Region Parent Teachers Association Annual Legislative Conference Held in Carle Place, Long Island

Latham, N.Y. – The New York School Bus Contractors Association is donating $1,500 to the Nassau Region Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to assist the organization in their mission of promoting the education, health and welfare of children and families.  The Nassau Region PTA is New York State’s largest with nearly 80,000 members from over 300 PTA units from across Nassau County.

“The Nassau Region PTA shares our commitment and dedication to our schools and, most importantly, the safety of our school children,” said New York School Bus Contractors Association Board Member, and past president, Robert Pape.  “We are absolutely thrilled to support our partners at the Nassau Region PTA; it is an outstanding organization that works tirelessly to support the well-being of New York’s children.”

The New York School Bus Contractors Association donated $1,500 to the Nassau Regional PTA’s annual legislative conference, which was held on March 4th.  The event was a huge success with PTA members taking part in a panel discussion with members of the state legislature, advocacy workshops, and a roundtable discussion with representatives from New York State Department of Education.

“The New York School Bus Contractors Association and its members are extremely fortunate to have a great working relationship with the New York State PTA and our regional PTA’s,” said Pape.  “It is a genuine pleasure working with them to make sure our school children and their families have a voice in their schools, communities and government.”
