Membership Categories

Contractor: school bus contractors providing pupil transportation services in New York State.

Associate Member: any person or organization engaged in the transportation of school children or the promotion thereof, such as associations, public or private school districts and B.O.C.E.S.

Emeritus Membership: individuals who have been regular members of NYSBCA, but are no longer eligible for regular membership — this includes anyone from a private bus contractor company, school district, B.O.C.E.S., manufacturer or supplier company. Emeritus members are non-voting members, are not eligible to run for office, and are not allowed to submit amendments to the by-laws.

Supplier/Vendor: organizations engaged in services related to the sales, manufacturing, operation, or maintenance of school buses. This includes various businesses and consultants that provide school bus industry-related products and services.
