About

The New York School Bus Contractors Association is an organization comprising nearly one hundred school transportation service companies with the primary mission of promoting safe, reliable and cost-effective student transportation in New York State.

New York school bus contractors transport over half of the 2.2 million students who ride a yellow school bus to school each day.

Formed in 1950, the New York School Bus Contractor Association has a proud and accomplished tradition of serving as the voice of school bus contractors, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers on issues of common interest at the state capital and beyond.

Private school bus companies employ approximately 45,000 people, operate roughly 30,000 school vehicles and provide service to over 300 school districts in New York State.

Ensuring every child reaches their destination safely, without incident, and on time is a responsibility the industry takes very seriously. This is why the New York School Bus Contractors Association works tirelessly to ensure every contractor has access to the latest school transportation safety education and training resources.

The New York School Bus Contractors Association…
…Promoting safe, reliable and cost-effective student transportation.
